Stones by Astrology

There are many systems of astrology, from many cultures the world over. World has evidence which prove that the early civilizations has a deep knowledge of Astrology. The Hindus, the Babylonians, the Chinese, the Egyptians and the Greeks all have developed extensive systems of Astrology.

Indian astrology is the oldest system of astrology in the world and differs considerably from the western system. Indian astrology uses the actual constellations of stars as seen in the sky. Using this system gives a completely different chart as compared to the one used by western astrologers, as the Indian astrology is based on the date, place and time of birth.
Indian astrology is highly authentic and its predictions are believed to be the most accurate. Being based on the actual constellations of stars, this is the most widely used system of astrology across the world.

Birthstones are gemstones that are associated with each month. They may be precious stones, such as diamonds, or semi-precious. In each case they are considered lucky for their particular months and for those who believe in such things their healing powers are heightened during their months. Birthstones tend to be a very personal choice, even to the point that people who don't like the color of their true birthstone will find any excuse to claim another.

Often combined with modern birthstone lists, traditional birthstones are older society-based birthstones. Since many different cultures had their own list, jewelers' lists are often inconsistent over what constitutes a traditional birthstone. The table below contains many stones which are popular choices, often reflecting tradition.

In 1912, in an effort to standardize them, the American national association of jewelers, Jewellers of America, officially adopted a list, shown in the "Modern" column in the table below.

Mystical Birthstones are of Tibetan origin and date back over a thousand years.

The Ayurvedic birthstone list is from the ancient Indian medicine and philosophy dating back to ancient India
